Installing an eccentric reducer on a pump: This is done to prevent cavitation. Generally, the reducer at the pump inlet should be installed with the top flush with the surface. This prevents vapor from accumulating at the pump inlet, forming large bubbles that enter the pump chamber and damage the pump. There is only one scenario where bottom-flush installation is permitted: when the reducer is directly connected to an upward-curving elbow. In this case, vapor cannot accumulate.
2. Pump-Pipeline Installation of Reducers: When there is a size difference between the pump outlet and the external piping system, reducers are used to achieve a straight connection between two pipes of different sizes, serving as fittings for pipe diameter transitions.
Axial displacement of an eccentric rubber reducer refers to the elongation or compression of the rubber reducer in the direction of fluid flow (i.e., along the central axis).
